Man Shops Globe
Three words I love come together as the title for one new reality show on the Sundance Channel that's worth watching. Anthropologie, a favorite hotspot for all things global, eclectic and colorful, was smart enough to put together what I think is a great way to drive both sales (good for them) and awareness of where stuff comes from (good for all of us)!
Keith Johnson is a buyer at large for Anthropologie and in a long term relationship with the CEO of parent company, Urban Outfitters, Inc. Both relationships seem to be thriving. Keith will take us all with him on his adventures in sourcing old world finds, commissioning custom designs, and inventing a few new designs along the way. He visits places like Paris, India, Africa, and Turkey. He's everyone's personal shopper. I wonder where else his adventures will take us?
And I thought I loved MY job! The voyage begins on Oct. 7 at 10p. Though I don't find myself in front of the boob tube too often, this show may make a couch potato out of me, yet!
