Darryl Carter's Best Benjamin Moore Color Picks
It's the end of the week and we all deserve a rare treat- a designer's color secret.
As a follow up to my recent post about Darryl Carter's book, The New Traditional, I asked him to share some of his favorite Benjamin Moore colors that are tried and true. Willing to divulge the colors that define his style, Darryl quickly rattled these colors off:
Try out these colors if you're looking for soft and sophisticated. Even a little color can go a long way! Have you found other subtle colors that you can't live without? Be as giving as Darryl and share them with everyone here!

Before reading this post, I tried a bunch of grays and narrowed it down to Gray Owl and Titanium. How funny that they're both on his top list! Sounds like I can't go wrong with either color. After hemming and hawing at the paint store, I selected Titanium. These grays are very similar - hard to tell on the computer - but the Gray Owl is more of a true gray and the Titanium has a touch of brown and a teensy hint of green making it more versatile gray for the color palette in our home.
Thanks for this post as it's reassured me that I picked a nice color (the indecisive Gemini in me tends to have buyers remorse). Can't wait to see my walls covered with Titanium!

Gray Owl is speaking to me. Wish I had seen this before I purchased 2 gallons of Litchfield Gray for our guest bedroom. And Moonlight White I like too. They are all great colors.
I truly have great admiration for Darryl Carter's work.

I have of course used woodlawn blue in our front living room and paired it with trim work in ivory tusk, the trim throughout. Mannequin Cream is in our great room and the hall is limestone. Our favorite color that seems to go with everything is Toasted Sesamee Seed, a camel, caramel, nuetral in many ways. Grey owl is my favorite grey neutrals.
A jumble of colors for you to look over, sure you know them well. Thanks for inspiration and letting me know I am on the right track.

I love that color- it reminds me of the grays you see in european interiors. It's almost white, but that gray adds such confidence to a space! I think it would be great in a bath-- maybe w/a punchy citrine color for towels & accessories?? Oooh...

Interesting. Gray owl always seems to make designers' short list. I'm thinking of trying it out in my upstairs' bathrooms.
